Community Programs Volunteer - Transplant House
Kidney Health Australia National OrganisationTasks will include:
• Travelling to and from our transplant house to help tenants settle in and check out after their surgery
• Checking the property for any damages or issues and reporting them to Kidney Health Australia staff
• Checking stock and supplies at the property and informing staff of any requirements
• Attending the property on occasions to provide access to the building to tradespersons for maintenance
• Checking the mailbox and assisting with deliveries upon request
The following skills are desired for this volunteer role: • Confident, friendly and great communication skills • Understanding of kidney disease or personal connection to kidney disease • Timely and can be available at short notice – check ins can be last minute due to the nature of transplant operations • Experience working in a customer facing role • Local knowledge of the Brunswick East area and surrounds Ideally, as a Community Programs Volunteer you would be in close proximity to the Transplant House in Brunswick East.
