Project Explorers - Pole Art and Verge Garden

City of West Torrens

Volunteer with us. As a medium sized metropolitan Council in South Australia, the City of West Torrens (CWT) offers you a chance to make a difference to the lives of residents in the community.

With around 250 staff and 100 volunteers across the organisation, there is always something new happening and projects to be involved in.

What you'll do: As one of our Stobie Pole Art and Verge Seekers, you will have the chance to grow creative, sustainable and connected communities by making the streets of West Torrens more colourful, green and active.

Your role: to be responsible for identifying painted stobie poles and planted verges in West Torrens to add to our Stobie Pole Art Gallery and Virtual Verge Trail.

In this role you will undertake a variety of duties including: • Walking in pairs around West Torrens • Identifying beautiful stobie pole art and planted verges • delivering flyers and related project information to mailboxes.

Who you are: If you are friendly, reliable, responsible and happy to walk around West Torrens seeking out beautiful places, you would be a great addition to our team of volunteers. You will be available to volunteer one day a week and during your time with us, you will be provided with ongoing support and training as required. Ideally, you'll be able to commit to the role for 6 months but if you can't, this should not stop you from applying.
