Volunteer Speaker

Project Youth
Logo for Project Youth

The Volunteer Speaker/Presenter is a role that will benefit young people and teach them some insight into a profession/skill/hobby that the young person may not have had the opportunity to learn about before.

Project Youth is looking to provide young people with skills that can be used in daily life and may intrigue them to investigate further. If resources are available for young people to take away from the presentation, this is even better. We have found that young people who enter into our programs, particularly our housing programs, enjoy experiencing new subjects and learning skills they may not have had the opportunity to learn before.

It is expected that the Volunteer Speaker/Presenter will be able to speak for 30-60 minutes on their topic and have any necessary items, tools, props, etc. to complete their talk.

Volunteers will work with Max Prout, Administration and Volunteer Coordinator, to go through what they’d like to speak about and organise a time to come into one of our centres to speak with young people.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
