Brisbane Seniors OnLine [BSOL] is a not for profit organisation that offers training in electronic devices to persons over 50. All training and work duties undertaken by BSOL is by unpaid volunteers. Funds to manage BSOL’s operations is through a modest fee paid by its learners, and donations made by outside organisations. BSOL has recently celebrated 20 years of providing this service.

BSOL has a need for someone with the right experience to work as a training officer. We envisage that the suitable person will:

 Monitor mentor capabilities (through a database);  Identify gaps in the capabilities;  Arrange training sessions to close the identified gaps.

This training can call on members of the Association with the demonstrated capabilities or could utilise non-members where applicable. The training officer is not expected to undertake the training themselves. The training officer will be expected to select a suitable venue for the training and promote the event through normal BSOL channels.

The training officer is not expected to attend monthly committee meetings but will report to the Committee via the Vice President.
