Relay For Life is a fun and exciting community event that raises vital funds for the Cancer Council’s research, prevention, information and support services. Relay is a chance for the Ipswich community to support cancer patients and their carers, recognise and celebrate cancer survivors, to honour and remember loved ones lost to cancer and to raise money to help save more lives.

Relay is a community organised event and we need your help! Volunteer to support the local committee in bringing Relay For Life to your community. Volunteers are exposed to a wide variety of areas across Relay For Life events including, event logistics, safety and first aid, entertainment and ceremonies, marketing, media and promotion, catering and waste management.

Our on-the-day volunteers assist with tasks including: Helping set up the event (bump in) Registration for participants Facilitating our Survivor and Carers Afternoon Tea Activities around the grounds Helping keep the event clean and safe Assisting with our Candlelight Ceremony *End-of-event activities (bump out)

There are three shifts available: 9AM - 11AM (Friday 10 June) 10AM - 2PM (Saturday 11 June) *12PM - 3PM (Saturday 11 June)
