A secretary in the fire brigade:- - Attends and records the minutes of the monthly brigade meetings - Keeps membership records up to date - Deals with the correspondence in and out of the brigade - Works with the treasurer to ensure financial records are accurate - Provide overall administrative support to the Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service - Work closely with the Captain to ensure the smooth running of the brigade

As a volunteer, you will also have the opportunity to undertake a raft of training through DFES that will benefit you both personally and professionally.
