Perhaps go for a walk in the care home gardens or to sit and reminisce about life growing up, chat about cooking, gardening, sewing, crochet, and animals. If you have good Interpersonal skills with the ability communicate sensitively and effectively with elderly people then this could be the volunteer role for you.

The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme is funded by the Australian Government. Established to promote links between people living in an aged care facility and their local community. The aim of the scheme is to improve residents' quality of life for those who have limited family, cultural and social contact and may be at risk of social isolation.
