Do you like a busy environment, where social interaction is paramount? Calvary Flora McDonald is seeking people, who have an interest in making a difference in the lives of those living in residential care, to volunteer in our Chapel. Calvary Flora McDonald is seeking the support of volunteer Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion to distribute Holy Communion to our residents on either Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Fridays. The Wednesday role also includes set up for and attendance of Mass.

All such Ministers need to have completed the appropriate diocesan or parish-based training, and to have a letter of support from their parish priest.

This ministry is greatly appreciated by our residents who find consolation in being able to receive Holy Communion. Many of our volunteers find this a privileged moment of encounter and a source of nourishment for their own faith.
