Our priority is to build mutual aid networks around Australia where working people can help other struggling working people by developing essential programs that will help families and individuals being crushed by an unfair system designed for the rich.

We are now at an exciting stage where everything is happening, and we need motivated volunteers to support our development.

**About the role: ** Driver for people experiencing homelessness As a driver for the Community Union Defence League you will be required to commit to driving on a Sunday once a month during the times of 11:00am to 3:00pm. This should be approximately 3 hours maximum 4 hours of driving in total.

The position will be picking up food from other Volunteers who have very generously donated food to the kitchen. Note: You will be reimbursed for Petrol but your own car is required.


  • Contact the volunteer cooks the day before you’ll be driving out to them.
  • Text them an ETA when you around 1 hour from picking up
  • Get the food to the Kitchen in a timely manner. 3:15 is the preferred time of arrival.
  • Use a mask during COVID – 19 and use gloves.
  • Use our organising group on Facebook for updates

No contact pickup ( Call volunteer cooks and ask them to leave the food outside so there is no risk of spread of the virus)
