We have approximately 12 Senior Teams, 20 Junior Teams (U10-U17), 3 Thunder Girl Teams as well as running Woolworths Master Blast (Under 10) and Junior Blast (4-7 yr) program.

As a community based club we pride ourselves on playing the game in the Spirit of Cricket.

Cricket is an exciting game that encourages leadership, friendship and teamwork, which brings together people from different nationalities, cultures and religions, especially when played.

Mutual respect, fairness, positiveness, self-discipline and appreciation are some of the key behaviours our club considers extremely important.

The following opportunities are available:

Coaching:

Junior Coaches are required for training one night a week (training nights and times are determined by the Coach) and for Saturday mornings games. Start at 8am - 12pm

Thunder Girls Coaches are required for training one night a week (training nights and times are determined by the Coach) and for Saturday afternoon games. Start at 2pm - 5pm

  • Typical training Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday for 1.5 hours only between 4.30pm - 6.30pm

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Leadership skills.
  • Ability to analyse, study, plan and assess the game as it develops.
  • Effective communicator.
  • Knowledge of cricket skills -– technical and tactical.
  • Ability to deal with a wide range of players, officials and supporters.
  • Level 1 or 2 Cricket Australia coach’s accreditation.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organise training and match-day events.
  • Instruct Cricket skills and team tactics.
  • Plan and select the best team for match-day.
  • Provide clear instruction and feedback to the team and individual players.
  • Represent the club at official functions and community activities.
  • Continually seek to upgrade skills and knowledge of the game.
  • Have an understanding of injury prevention, care and management.
  • Develop team morale.

ALL VOLUNTEERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE A CURRENT WORKING WITH CHILDREN'S NUMBER, PLEASE PROVIDE WWC# AND EXPIRY DATE WHEN APPLYING
