Helping Hand Mawson Lakes is seeking Arts and Crafts Assistants to join the Volunteer Team. Your role will be helping older people living in the residential care home to learn new skills, or pick up old hobbies again, and tap into their creativity. This is an opportunity to share your creativity, arts and crafts skills with older people.

Ideally suited for someone who is enthusiastic and motivated, you will be supporting the Lifestyles team to deliver an inclusive and varied arts and crafts program and be part of a comfortable and welcoming home environment. All our homes are committed to COVID-19 safety protocols.

Requirement: Empathy or understanding of ageing issues or willingness to learn, an awareness of the needs of people with disabilities and dementia.

An NDIS screening check is required for all volunteers. Helping Hand can assist in arranging this.
