Workshop Facilitator

Deliver consent education and sexual assault prevention workshops to young people
Duties include: ● Attend training sessions to be well-versed on our workshop content and answering questions on consent and sexual assault prevention ● Facilitate workshops to secondary school students ● Be a part of developing and improving workshop content ● Communicate feedback from students back to the Chief Operating Officer and ● Abide by our Child Protection Policy and Disclosure Policy.
● Deeply passionate about the primary prevention of sexual violence ● Confident in speaking in front of groups of young people and delivering content ● Works well with others and in a team environment;
Skills required: ● Enjoys learning and engaging in the areas of education, sexual assault prevention and youth education; and ● Has or is willing to obtain a Working with Children’s Check ● The successful applicant must meet the vaccination requirements set out in Empowered Together’s COVID vaccination policy
Time Commitment: ● Facilitators are expected to be available for an initial training induction (4-hours on one Sunday in Melbourne CBD). ● Throughout the year, training/practice sessions run every 2 weeks on Sunday 10am-1pm in a hybrid model (some sessions are held online over zoom and some in person depending on the session objectives) ● A total of 15 hours of training/practice sessions (attendance at 5 sessions) is required before facilitators are qualified to deliver workshops in schools. ● Once the training requirement is reached, time commitment is flexible. Workshop dates will be circulated and facilitators volunteer to attend workshops which suit their timetable.
