Teachers - Woodwork, Sheet-metal & Welding
Volunteers will teach and train members of the community in useful skills and techniques together with the safe use of associated machinery.
The Centre was established in 2003 to teach the community skills and techniques of woodwork, sheet-metal, and welding and to carry out repairs and one off projects. The Centre is fully equipped for all disciplines.
The Centre has volunteer trades people who supervisor community participants. The volunteers would be answerable to the Project Centre Co-ordinator.
The Project Centre is a safe, welcoming environment where both men and women are welcome to drop by, have a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit, talk to the friendly volunteers, inspect the work and display areas .Build, create or make repairs using our wood work or metal working facilities.
People can share skills, tips and ideas while making friends and being part of the St Mary’s community.
