Remember Friday night drinks after a long week at work? How would you like to inject some of that joy into a residential home? Share your waitering skills among people living with dementia who are frail and elderly at our residential aged care home in Wahroonga. Can you help?

Ideally you’ll be available one Friday afternoon/month or fortnight for 12 months or longer, between 2:00pm – 4:00pm. In this time you would set up a multi-purpose room, choose some suitable background music, then serve small wines, beers, soft drinks and chips to the residents. You will love seeing the smiles you can bring to the faces of people who’ve been deprived of social interaction and fun during Covid19 lockdowns.

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity, specialising in dementia care. We are passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need and we have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of our residents. As our volunteer you’ll receive training and on-going support and must be aged 18 years or older. HammondCare Wahroonga is located at 3-9 Woonona Ave South, Wahroonga NSW, 2076.

When you submit your enquiry, please include details on why you're interested in volunteering. Successful applicants will complete a criminal record check. All HammondCare volunteers must complete mandatory online training, provide evidence of Covid19 vaccination and meet the annual requirements for influenza vaccination.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
