You will have the support of the Committee members to help with the following tasks:

• Maintain a roster of volunteers and check that a minimum of two volunteers are on duty every day (Thursday to Sunday).
• Provide training to volunteers, including responsibilities for opening and closing, taking sales, where to find information about the history of Ellis House and the exhibitions / classes to provide to visitors.
• Advertise for volunteers.
• Meet new volunteers to go through the role and induction.
• Keep the Volunteer Handbook up to date
• Check in with the volunteers now and again to make sure everything is going ok.
• Help the committee to organise regular volunteer thank-you events.
• Take any suggestions or complaints from the volunteers to one of the Committee members to take to the next Committee meeting for discussion.
