Position: Connector and/or Barista (two roles available) Role Overview:

As a volunteer with our Community Garden Cafe - Chitter Chatter Socialisation Program, you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming and friendly environment for participants. This opportunity offers a fulfilling experience for individuals who enjoy socialising, connecting with others, and making a difference in their community.

Responsibilities:

Connector: • Engage in meaningful conversations and connect participants to foster friendships. • Take coffee/tea orders and serve beverages. • Assist with setup and pack up of the cafe area. • Provide information about other Community House activities that may interest cafe participants. • Create a warm and relaxed atmosphere for all attendees.

Barista: • Prepare and serve coffee to cafe participants (approximately 20-30 coffee orders). • Assist with setup and pack up of the cafe area. • Barista skills or training would be an advantage, as this role can get busy.

Additional Information: • Time commitment: 2 to 2.5 hours per week on Tuesday mornings (10:30 AM - 1:00 PM, approximately). • This role is part of a rotating Chatty Cafe team, and volunteers are not required to commit every Tuesday. • In case of inclement weather, the Chitter Chatter Cafe will be held inside the Community House.
