Red Cross has developed an educational program for school students and community groups about the asylum seeker journey and the reasons why people seek protection in Australia. The program promotes compassion, harmony and social cohesion in line with Red Cross Strategy 2020.
This volunteer will work closely with the program team members and support the delivery of the presentations for primary schools, secondary schools and the community, giving volunteers valuable insights into the reasons why people seek asylum. In addition, volunteers will have a unique opportunity to share unbiased and neutral information so that participants have the chance to engage in the conversation and explore this topic further with their communities.
As a volunteer you will learn about a variety of resources that can be used to understand the very essence of human rights, asylum seeking and why people migrate to Australia. Red Cross will ensure you have training, ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the World's largest humanitarian network.
To submit this an application you will be required to upload a recent copy of your CV and provide details for two professional references.
