Weekend Camp Leader
Cahoots
Are you wanting to fill in your weekend whilst also making a difference in a young person's life? Do you want to have that rewarding 'feel-good-feeling', whilst learning new skills and making lifelong friends with like-minded people? Are you wanting to give back on your weekend?
Volunteering at Cahoots, you will help with the successful running of our camps and have the opportunity to work with our wonderful participants. You will support them in achieving their goals, whether that be making new friends, improving their independence, or just trying something new. Over the week you will learn valuable new skills and gain first-hand experience of what it is like working in the disability sector. You may even find a new career path.
We run camps for children aged 5-12 years, teenagers aged 12-18 and camps for young adults aged 18+. We also run camps for participants with medium and high support needs, throughout the year.
As a camp leader, all your accommodation, travel, meals, and entry to all activities will be covered by Cahoots! We'll also throw in a free Cahoots t-shirt for you!
All volunteer camp leaders will have guidance from professional support workers and facilitators whilst on camps and will receive extensive training beforehand from the Volunteer Coordinator.
If you're looking for something fun to do over your weekend, and and want to learn new skills, then volunteering with Cahoots is perfect for you!
