Join the SWF volunteer team and take part in Australia’s biggest literary festival!

Sydney Writers' Festival is recruiting a team of 300 volunteers to help stage our week-long annual festival of inspiring author talks and thought-provoking interviews.

This year's Festival will be held from 22-28 May. You can select which days, times and locations you are available on the online application form available on the SWF website.

SWF volunteers fulfil crucial roles at the Festival, including:

• Book Signing Assistant • Children’s Event Assistant • Festival Bus Assistant • Floater • Greeter • Information Assistant • Livestream Assistant • Site & Stage Assistant • Usher • Volunteer Green Room Assistants • Writers’ Green Room Assistant

The (compulsory) Volunteer Orientation session will be held on Saturday 6 May at Carriageworks, Redfern.

There are no prerequisites for volunteering, you’ll just need a big smile and an appreciation for good writing and those responsible for it – SWF celebrates writers of all kinds and all genres.
