The Biennale of Sydney is a leading International contemporary art event. Established in 1973, it is the third oldest biennial in the world after Venice and Sao Paulo and the largest exhibition of its kind in Australia.

Ten Thousand Suns departs from an acknowledgement of a multiplicity of perspectives, cosmologies, and ways of life that have always woven together the world under the sun. This central life-giving body, like the world it shines light upon, has otherwise been known under thousands of different words in as many languages.

The Biennale of Sydney is delighted to be joined by curators Cosmin Costinaş and Inti Guerrero as the Artistic Directors of the 24th Biennale.

Exhibition host duties:

1. Welcome our visitors (in English and other languages!)
2. Help visitors to interpret and connect to the art through conversations
3. Help ensure the safety of the artworks
4. Offer general information and directions around the venue
5. Collect visitor feedback
6. Work closely with Volunteer Coordinator & wider Biennale team
