This position will assist in creating meaningful social experiences that connect the community through the arts.

The City of Subiaco Positive Ageing Activities program is delivered in partnership with The Third Place, the Salvation Army. The Third Place provides a welcoming, social and engaging atmosphere for clients. The program promotes an age-friendly community by encouraging networking, relationship building and promotes social inclusion through activities and events to reduce isolation.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

• Attend any required training and development sessions as required. • Adhere to City of Subiaco policies and procedures including, the Code of Conduct, Volunteer Agreement, Occupational Safety and Health Policy and incident reporting. • Plan fortnightly art and craft activities for the Seniors Space program. • Set up, facilitate and pack away arts and crafts activities. • Contribute to the wellbeing of clients by encouraging and assisting client participation through arts and crafts activities. • Collaborate with the Activity Assistant and Volunteer Supervisor to arrange necessary equipment for activities. • Support clients to engage in activities, encourage conversation, socialising and fun in a relaxed environment.
