Uniting Social Support Program keeps people connected to the community to support them to live a happy and healthy life. The program assists people to keep doing the things they love.

Amy enjoys reading and describes herself as independent and social. Uniting are seeking a personable and engaging volunteer to support Amy to reconnect with her community.

The selected applicant will have effective communication skills and an ability to creatively reconnect Amy to her interests, including sewing and knitting. Visits may include accompanying Amy on outings for coffee or to browse the local shops or Bunnings. Your own vehicle will be required to transport Amy* on outings.

You must be open to providing weekly/fortnightly visits on Tuesdays and accompanying Amy* to a Uniting lunch group on the 4th Tuesday of every month at venues in the Casey/Cardinia area. Valid driver’s licence necessary. The confidence to work independently is essential.

As a valued member of the Social Support Team, you will have access to ongoing training and development, opportunities to meet new people and develop new skills. You will have support from a dedicated volunteer coordinator throughout your volunteer journey. You will be volunteering to inspire people, enliven communities and confront injustice to make an impact in your community.
