About Corethics

Corethics is an independent not-for-profit dedicated to creating sustainable and thriving communities in the developing world by partnering with community organisations working on the ground to tackle some of the most complex issues affecting human society and the environment.

Our Bali, Indonesia program addresses the devastating issue of water pollution through our #waste4wealth project. We are an all-volunteer-run organisation based in Newcastle, Australia with volunteers working remotely from across the world.

About the Events

Corethics will be holding a market stall at prominent environmental event in the hunter region. We are looking for friendly and down to earth volunteers who are available for:

Sustainable Living Festival, Saturday 4th November 2023 Medowie School, 9-2pm

Your Responsibilities

Represent Corethics and provide down to earth, respectful, and professional service to event goers. Tasks while on duty at our stall:

• Encourage subscription to our mailing list
• Selling merchandise using Square device
• Promote donations
• Provide general information about Corethics and our project Waste 4 Wealth
• Promote Corethics Sustainable Fashion Design Competition and hand out flyers to passers by
• Promote Corethics Charity Gala Event “Indigo” in 2024 and hand out flyers to passers by
• Set up and pack down of marque, tables, Corethics promotional gear and merchandise
• Be available for shifts across 8am-3pm, with breaks (all day or part)

Eligibility Criteria

• Honest, diligent, self-starter, and able to work autonomously
• Ability to work well with others
• Persuasive negotiating skills
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Cash handling and Square transaction experience desirable
• Demonstrated ability to sell, solicit donations, or promote product/service
• Proficiency in English
• Carry out duties and responsibilities in line with Corethics policies
• Uphold Corethics pillars sustainability, empowerment, equity, and ethics [S.E.E.E]
• An interest in international development, the not-for-profit sector, ethical fashion, and/or Indonesia and its development context
