You will be:

• Working with older people and people with a disability to provide companionship and mentoring. This will assist the people to participate in recreational activities and arts and crafts and help reduce isolation Volunteers will also assist in Pick-up or drop-off older people/clients

Duties

· Set up activities in preparation for the day as directed · Assist with morning or afternoon tea and lunch · Assist clients with activities as directed · Support staff during activities · Assist clients to participate in activities as directed · Participate in clients outings when required and if desired · Deliver specified activities as directed

• Assist staff in setting up activities in preparation for the day as directed.
• Assist staff in preparing, distributing and tidying up morning or afternoon tea and lunch
• Assist clients in getting on and off the bus (When outing).
• Assist clients with morning and afternoon tea and lunch.
• Accompany clients to go to washroom (no personal care required for volunteers).
• Inform staff if clients need personal care.
• Support staff and encourage clients to participant in activities.
• Assist staff to go on outings with clients
• Assist clients in carrying belongings (5kgs or below) when on outings.
