Kanangra Reserve is a special 1.5 hectare reserve in the Penrith suburb of Kingswood, home to a healthy population of the endangered Native Pear (Marsdenia viridiflora) and Spiked-rice Flower (Pimelea spicata). The open eucalypt-forest and diverse ground layer provides a rare suburban example of the Cumberland Plain Woodland ecological community (which has since all but disappeared) and valuable habitat for an abundance of native animal species. With your help we can continue to rehabilitate the reserve and support 20 years of bush regeneration from Penrith City Council and Bushcare volunteers. The project will be focused on mitigating the Reserve’s greatest threats, which are invasive weed species such as African Love Grass, Mother of Millions, Moth Vine and Asparagus Fern. No experience is necessary for this event - bring yourself and a can-do attitude! Our friendly Project Officer is there to answer your questions and guide you along the way. This project is made possible with support from Penrith City Council and the NSW Environmental Trust.

• Registrations on our website are essential. We will send you a link with more information on how to register once you submit a SEEK volunteer application.
• You are required to make your own way to and from the worksite.
• No previous experience is required. We will provide you with all the know-how on site.
• We can provide you with a certificate of appreciation for coming along and helping out (this looks great on a resume!)
