Mood Active runs exercise programs that empower people to better manage their mental health.
Established in 2013 as a not-for-profit, Mood Active offers tailored exercise programs to support the needs of our clients who want to improve their mental health and may have mood disorders including anxiety and depression.
Participants are typically referred to us by GP’s, psychologists and community organisations. Over 85% of participants who attend our program report an increase in mood.
We offer a casual program, 4 week wellbeing workout and 8 week 1:1 exercise coaching.
We are looking for Certificate IV Fitness trainers to run 1x class a week for a commitment of 3 months. For the right candidate, this position offers the opportunity for FREE educational courses (including Mental Health First Aid and Motivational Techniques for Clients).
Our offerings are unique because our trainers are supportive, motivating, inclusive and non-judgemental. The Program Manager will work with you to build relationships with our participants and keep them coming back!

What qualifications, skills & experience are essential? Certificate IV in Fitness Current First Aid & CPR Certificate Registration with relevant governing body eg Fitness Australia (or be willing to register) Police Check- we can help you with this
Desirable qualifications Public Liability and Indemnity Insurance Lived experience of mood disorders or experience supporting family or friends with mood disorders
