Logo for St Vincent de Paul Society NSW

The Ozanam Learning Centre is a community centre based in Woolloomooloo where people can connect, learn, participate in activities and workshops, and access a wide range of supports. Our work aims to provide opportunities for inclusion and support for those who need it.

We offer creative programs such as art and music, health, well-being and recovery programs, personal development and living skills programs.

We are very proud of our art room at which community members can enrol in classes to learn painting, drawing and pottery. We wish to engage volunteer Art Class Facilitators to broaden our art program and enable more opportunities for creative development and connection.

You will be facilitating art/craft classes in your area of specialty, such as printmaking (including screen printing and lino cut printing), life drawing, leatherwork and weaving. You will be encouraging participants to develop their skills and explore pathways to further artistic development and education.

You will help establish and maintain a lively, cooperative and inspiring atmosphere in the art room. Part of the role is ensuring efficient and effective use of art room resources and supporting the recycling of used materials as appropriate.

To do this role you will have a passion for and some experience in teaching visual arts. You will have good people skills, including ability to manage conflict, and a warm, friendly personality, patience and compassion.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
