There are still many families with trees and debris blocking their properties and coming into fire season we need to act quickly to try and help them make their properties safe.

Habitat for Humanity Victoria is running weekly volunteer days up in the Dandenongs where you can come along to help. You can come for one day or as many as you like.

You will need to be physically capable, as some of these properties are on the side of the mountain and can be rather steep. You do not need to have any skills and will be trained on the job. Having a chainsaw license would be very helpful but not necessary. All tools and safety equipment will be provided.

Most of our volunteer days run on Thursday's and Friday's from 9am-3.30pm (we do run some weekend volunteer days). You will mostly be working in a team for 5-6 others people.

So sign up and come along to assist families in need of a hand up to get their properties safe.

If you need any further information then please contact Felicity Smith, Volunteer Coordinator at fsmith@habitat.org.au or 0479 116 953.
