The Limestone Coast Local Health Network are looking for Transport volunteers for permanent and relief shifts within Country Health Connect and the Mount Gambier Hospital.

Volunteers are required to meet COVID19 vaccinations requirements, as per the governments mandate and provide evidence of their COVID vaccinations to the Volunteer Coordinator before commencements.

Our transport volunteers provide the patients with safe and reliable transport to and from the health facility for their treatment/appointments using an allocated government vehicle. It is important our patients are able to get to their treatment/appointments on time and safely due to their health concerns. These volunteers play a big part in keeping our patients safe and healthy, most times the volunteers become like family to these patients.

Transport volunteers are required to hold a current full C class drivers licence and be able to lift up to 10kgs as some patients have equipment that is required to be put into the boot of the government vehicle.

Country Health Connect will ensure you have ongoing support and training.

  • We require all volunteers to have their DHS Aged Care and Working with Children Clearances prior to commencement.
  • We also require all volunteers to provide the Volunteer Coordinator with evidence of their COVID-19 vaccinations.
