The program Jeays Street Community Centre exists to build social connectedness among the local community by providing a safe and open space where community members, including children under the age of 18, can access formal and informal community-based support, be involved in community-led initiatives and develop meaningful social networks.

The opportunity The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the Staff in the recruitment of new volunteers for the space, submitting volunteer advertisements, conducting interviews for potential volunteers, and coordinating volunteer inductions. You will also be required to help co-ordinate volunteers and rostering, and assist with team meetings and volunteer engagement.  General administration tasks may also be required in this role.

The impact As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will be able to connect, learn, listen and teach community members, experiencing social isolation and vulnerability.
