Alex Makes Meals (AMM) is a not-for-profit company providing nutritious meals to people in Melbourne facing food insecurity. We provide meals to charity partners across Melbourne who then distribute them. Our efforts allow many charity groups to focus on providing other support services to people who need them, while we make sure they also receive a good meal.

We operate a commercial kitchen in Preston and are looking for volunteer kitchenhands to help make quality meals for people who need them.

Requirements:

• Food and meal preparation
• Meal labelling, packing and dispatch
• Cleaning the kitchen and washing equipment

All you need is a willingness to work as part of a team and basic home cooking skills. We will provide you with on the job training and supervision.

We're looking for volunteers who can commit to one day a week between 8am and 2pm. Our kitchen operates Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in Preston There is on-site parking or it’s only a short walk from the Bell Train Station.
