To reminisce and talk about life events or experiences that are life affirming and important. To support elderly residents with social and emotional connection. To improve quality of life and psychological health of aged care residents through ongoing companionship. To work with the resident to produce a short digital story that portrays the resident’s identity and tells a story about them.
The digital storytelling program is not about the technology or the quality of the production, it is about the relationship to the resident and the impact the story has for others. If you can use a smartphone and use the internet, and you feel confident that you can learn some simple new things about technology, then you will have no problem with this program.
