Bring Joy and compassion to our clients who are lonely and isolated Imagine not receiving a phone call or a visitor for days and weeks on end. Silver Chain's Community Connections program, supports clients who are isolated or lonely. We match a volunteer up with a client in their local community to provide companionship and/or support them to access their community, classes, groups, social centres, and some clients like help to understand their mobile phone, tablet or laptop. The role is varied and can bring such joy to the client and the volunteer. If you have 2-3 hours a week to visit with someone, we'd love to hear from you. You need to have an insured car and will be reimbursed mileage.
