The purpose of STGCT’s Volunteer Home Visiting Program is to reduce the social isolation of current St George Community consumers who may be feeling disconnected from their community.

The role of in-home visitor volunteers is to make regular social visits and provide companionship and friendship to STGCT consumers and help older people who are often living alone to maintain social connections by providing weekly or fortnightly visits in their homes by doing something they both enjoy.

We are looking for caring individuals who can sit and have a chat, reminisce and talk about topics of interest with elderly people in their own homes

All we require is a minimum of 2 hours per week/fortnight with availability between Monday to Friday between 9 am to 5 pm.

Ongoing training and support is provided.

Suitable volunteers will be matched based on the client’s interests, gender, frailty, needs and wants.
