This volunteer opportunity will help to manage the administration, logistics and coordination of our annual organisation wide awards program.

This role will provide support for our Full Circle Awards Program. In particular the role will be responsible for:

  • Collating, editing and sharing stories of our Full Circle Nominees.
  • Managing the preparation, distribution and postage of certificates to our Nominees.
  • Preparing example stories to share across the organisation of people going above and beyond.
  • Providing support to the team in managing event logistics such as tracking RSVPs, dietary requirements and travel arrangements.

The work is likely to be a mix of remote work and face to face time in the Brisbane City based office. Working arrangements can be flexible if an application would prefer to work remotely at all times.

The expected workload is 2 days per week until December. The role would sit within the Organisational Development Team at UnitingCare and work in a close knit, energetic team of passionate professionals.

Tasks involved include:

  • Collate and edit stories of our Full Circle Nominees.
  • Select stories to share in different workforce segments across UnitingCare.
  • Create certificates for all Full Circle Nominees.
  • Organise the distribution of certificates for all Nominees.
  • Connect with Nominees to validate story elements or get permission to share stories.
  • Manage event logistics such as RSVPs, dietary requirements and travel arrangements.
  • If willing, can attend our celebration night to support the running of the event (optional).

Skills Required: The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Attention to detail and a willingness to pitch in.
  • The ability to edit and create stories to recognise our people in a positive and impactful way.
  • A passion for recognising and celebrating others.
  • Ability to manage logistical and administrative tasks in an autonomous manner.
  • Interest in working in a team environment.

Experience desired but not essential:

  • Event management
  • Previous administration experience
  • Marketing
  • Video making/ editing.
