The Role

The Volunteer NDIS Audit/Quality Support Officer will conduct internal audits against the NDIS Practice Standards and assist in the delivery of internal audit schedules and provision of engagement activities. The candidate will be required to build and maintain strong professional relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to achieve key organisational objectives, as well as conducting audits remotely, reviewing evidence and conducting gap analyses of company policies against the relevant practice standards and NDIS guidelines. This role involves consultation, where the candidate will identify risks and provide methods to address probabilities to augment processes and ensure a high level of service delivery and consistency.

What you will do:

• Conduct internal and external audits
• Generate audit reports and plan-of-actions on how to improve processes
• Mentoring/coaching for quality improvement practices
• Conduct gap analyses
• Assist with continuous improvement activities and processes
• Assist with/provide input into the development and rollout of organisational policies and procedures
• Evaluate quality of service where required

About you:

• Possesses a good understanding of quality frameworks and risk management
• Knowledge of the NDIS Program (or willing to learn)
• Tech savvy; intermediate experience with systems and Microsoft Office
• Able to communicate with a range of stakeholders over phone and online
• Ability to read, comprehend and interpret standards/legislation and guidelines
• Highly organised and professional
• Some experience with consulting highly regarded

Desirable criteria:

• Relevant bachelor’s degree/diploma
• Understanding of restrictive practices
• Experience in a compliance-based role
• Knowledge of the non-for-profit sector
