NDIS Coach
The Role
This role will focus on the development of a digital community and promote the acceptance of an online market/forum to provide support to people living with a disability. The candidate will be adept with both verbal and online communication, and be able to generate and moderate online discussions as well as participate in discussions over phone or in person. They will be knowledgeable about the NDIS and its community of participants, and will have strong levels of accountability, the ability to multitask as required, and a high level of adaptability and flexibility. The right candidate will also have the willingness to undertake additional training with digital communication and the moderation of discussions (in person, over video conferencing, and in online forums).
What You Will Do:
- Create, edit and publish engaging content and provide responses to community discussions
- Nurture, educate, expand and promote an online community by connecting a variety of disability service providers, consumers, advocates and agencies together
- Generate topics for and facilitate online discussions by assisting community members to navigate the NDIS
- Build and support an online community culture while moderating discussions over video conferencing, online forums and/or over phone
About you:
- Knowledge and/or experience with the NDIS
- Ability to collaborate and inspire individuals
- Adept with interpersonal communication and able to use multiple mediums of engagement
- Flexible and adaptable
- Highly accountable with proven ability to deliver on agreed outcomes and objectives
- Can juggle tasks and/or multitask as required
- Willingness to undertake training in developing digital communications and moderating discussions
Desirable criteria:
- Relevant bachelor’s degree/diploma
- Experience in an NDIS based role
- Knowledge of the non-for-profit sector
