Volunteers are required to provide one on one tutoring and mentoring for primary & high schools students in the subject areas of English, Science and Maths. A basic understanding in these subject areas is all that is required, with an emphasis more on the mentoring aspect and helping the students to build confidence.

Duties & Responsibilities: • Act as a tutor and mentor to identified primary and high school students to help build their confidence. • Guide and assist students in meeting their educational needs. • Assist students to develop the knowledge and skills to enable them to undertake independent research and critical analysis. • Review’s individual student’s progress at the end of each school term to assess future needs. • Ensure that administration tasks are completed as directed. • Attend training courses as required. • Carry out other reasonable tasks as directed. • Comply with South Eastern Community Connect Policies and Procedures, including confidentiality. • Take reasonable care of the health and safety of themselves and others. • Cooperate with South Eastern Community Connect in an effort to comply with WHS requirements.

SECC provides a Covid safe workplace for its volunteers. Conditions of Entry to SECC premises are displayed at front entry. QR code required at point of access in addition to conditions of entry.
