Volunteers are involved in a range of activities by this major health care provider:

As patient visitors, providing company and social interaction, for patients/residents at our Ashwood, Brighton, Elsternwick, Malvern and Prahran sites.

Providing support and practical assistance for patients and families visiting our emergency department, day procedure centre, day oncology and day of surgery admission centre.

You can also act as a biographer for palliative care patients.

Meeting and greeting patients/visitors and helping to guide them to their destination at our Brighton and Malvern sites.

Providing company and assistance with lifestyle activities for our aged-care residents.

Assisting clients at our Wig Room located in Brighton.

All volunteers are required to do a mandatory 3 day orientation program prior to commencement. Ongoing support is provided.

Volunteers work for periods of time from Monday to Friday and are recognised at an annual ceremony. A regular weekly commitment for 12 months is required. Police and Working with Children checks may be required depending on the volunteer role. Volunteers over 20 years of age may apply.
