At Costa Aged Care, our Flinders Wing supports residents with dementia to engage in activities and reach their full potential.

The Role:

Volunteers will help assist in activity setup, fostering resident engagement and motivation, communicating resident feedback back to staff to enhance our activities and most importantly, embracing the spirit of fun! Be part of the newspaper readings, including debates on current affairs, bingo and/or arts and crafts, among many others.

• Receive ongoing support and training throughout your journey, including a fully funded NDIS Worker Screening Check.

About you:

• Previous experience working with, or caring for a person with dementia advantageous, but not essential.
• Have excellent conversation and listening skills.
• Hold empathy and compassion about the wellbeing of older people.
• A passion for giving back to your community.

Time Commitment:

• Our team have activities running all day everyday and will work with your availabilities to volunteer.

So basically… volunteer when you’re free Mon-Fri 9am-5pm!
