About the role We are currently seeking a Volunteer Van Driver/Chaperone, who is compassionate, kind and committed to delivering high quality service to our Home Care clients. This is a rewarding role that will see you transporting our Home Care clients to and from their homes or St Luke's Care, while also chaperoning with our care staff while on day trips to the Zoo, Art Museums, Shops etc.

Preferred availabilities are Monday mornings and Wednesday mornings with potential from October to also help out Thursday mornings and Tuesday afternoons.

Your responsibilities may include: • Assisting clients to and from the van in a safe and unhurried manner • Helping ensure our clients are securely situated in their seats with seat belts and checking they are safely latched • Providing assistance to clients as required • Refueling and completing log books • Responsible for reporting if there is any matter which may potentially impact your ability to safely and competently drive the van

Essential Criteria: • Ability to work independently with limited supervision • Must hold a current Australian Drivers License with no restrictions and a clean driving history • Experience operating large vehicles • Demonstrate a sound knowledge of NSW Road rules • The ability to abide with road laws and safety principles • Ability to complete onsite training • Can do attitude, positive upbeat nature and personable communication skills
