This role gives you the opportunity to brighten the life of an older person by visiting them regularly at a Residential Aged Care Home, as part of the Community Visitors Scheme run by Catholic Healthcare.

As a volunteer you will commit to visiting a resident a least once a fortnight for around 1-2 hours. When matching with a community member we try to keep in mind your interests and availability to try and ensure you both enjoy the visits as much as each other. Sharing your time and interests with an older community member will help enhance their mental, physical, and emotional well being.

To be eligible to volunteer for this role you will need to be over 18 years of age, and a National Criminal Police Check will be completed by Catholic Healthcare as part of the volunteer induction process. Flu Vaccination is now required for visiting in all Aged care homes.
