This bushcare site contains valuable bushland with a diversity of plant and animal species. The site includes four recognised native vegetation communities: Coastal Enriched Sandstone Dry Forest - tall open eucalypt forest with an understorey of dry sclerophyll shrubs with ferns and herbaceous flowering plants amongst the ground cover. Estuarine Swamp Oak Forest – dominated by stands of Casuarinas
Estuarine Mangrove Forest – mangrove forest bordering the Lane Cove River Estuarine Saltmarsh – areas of salt tolerant herbs, grasses, rushes, sedges and reeds. The site is located on the eastern side of Pittwater Road (opposite Bronhill Ave) and extends down to the Lane Cove River.
