As part of the government funded Community Visitors Scheme, compassionate, caring and friendly volunteers are needed to visit with elderly residents in the North Parramatta area.  We have a number of elderly residents who need a visitor who speaks Mandarin. It is purely about social interaction, connection and conversation so as to provide some joy and pleasure in the life of these residents. A commitment of at least 1 hour a fortnight is needed on an ongoing basis. The role is very flexible and no set time or day is needed, just a reliable fortnightly visit. During times of lock downs you will need to be willing to keep in touch by phone or letter.
