We're seeking Volunteer Drivers who are friendly and compassionate and would like to help us on Wednesdays to safely deliver food parcels to client’s homes, across the city of Moreland.

THE AGENCY: CIS Moreland is a branch of Community Information and Support Victoria, an independent not-for-profit organisation. CIS Moreland provides information, support, referrals and emergency relief to people within the City of Moreland.

CIS Moreland helps people experiencing financial and or social disadvantage and hardship in ways that are respectful of diverse life experiences and that maintain dignity and encourages self-reliance.

THE ROLE: The role includes you assisting vulnerable members of the community with the delivery of food parcels to their homes. You will do this in coordination with agency staff and using your own vehicle. This is a minimum three-month position and requires a minimum of 3 hours per week.

YOU WILL: • Have a genuine interest and understanding of welfare issues impacting disadvantaged people in the community, including those from a culturally diverse background •Pass a National Police Certificate and Working with Children Check •Maintain and adhere to all legal requirements in relation to driving •Provide courteous and professional high-level customer service at all times •Have an awareness of the services of CIS Moreland to the best of your ability •Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times •Wear appropriate safety and PPE equipment (provided by CIS Moreland)
