We're seeking Volunteer Drivers who are friendly and compassionate and would like to help on Tuesday to assist with our Foodbank pickups.

THE AGENCY: Community Information and Support Merri-bek is a local agency providing information, support, referrals and emergency relief to people within the City of Merri-bek.

CIS Merri-bek helps people experiencing financial and/or social disadvantage and hardship in ways that respect diverse life experiences, maintain dignity, and encourage self-reliance.

THE ROLE: The role includes you picking up food deliveries from Foodbank and bringing them back to unload at the agency. You will do this in coordination with agency staff and using your own vehicle. This is a minimum three-month position and requires 3 hours per week.

YOU WILL: • Have a genuine interest and understanding of welfare issues impacting disadvantaged people in the community, including those from a culturally diverse background •Pass a National Police Certificate and Working with Children Check •Maintain and adhere to all legal requirements in relation to driving •Provide courteous and professional high-level customer service at all times •Have an awareness of the services of CIS Merri-bek to the best of your ability •Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times
