genU supports and maintains care relationships between carers and clients by providing respite and support for carers of frail, older people (over 65 years), including those with dementia.

We offer a respite service which provides a much needed break for primary carers looking after their loved ones at home. Participants enjoy activities designed to develop, maintain or support independent living and social interaction.

Volunteer support is required to support genU Aged Care Respite Team to promote social interaction and run fun activities within a safe environment.

The successful volunteer must have an interest in music.

Duties will include: • Hosting a sing a long - from your own music or our song books! • Assisting staff with a group of 8-10 clients - this could be an outside activity, weather permitting.

On-site supervision and training are provided.
