Kitchen Hand! | Social Support | Chadstone

The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Uniting (Vic & Tas).
The role requires an outgoing, enthusiastic applicant with a ‘can do’ attitude to provide assistance in the kitchen of the St Mark's Centre social activity group based in Chadstone. The applicant will demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well the confidence to work independently. Shifts available from 9.30am to 2pm.
Participants in the groups attend to enjoy healthy lunches, gentle exercise programs, conversations around current affairs and events, games, gardening, craft, sing-a-longs, men’s and women’s groups, and regular outings to exciting places across Melbourne.
The role involves tasks such as food prep; serving meals/morning tea; clearing dishes; stacking and emptying the dishwasher; cleaning the kitchen and meals areas.
No formal qualifications are required, but you will need to hold a current safe Food Handling certificate which could be obtained upon commencement if necessary. First aid certificate is desirable. Interested? Please be aware that this role is subject to Uniting and COVID safe guidelines.
