Volunteer Emergency Relief Support Centre Administration Officer

Your role will be integral in keeping the service organised and running smoothly. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of people and use your existing administration skills, while contributing to Vinnie’s good works and giving back to the community.

As an Administration Officer, you will provide a friendly and welcoming face for clients who visit the service and you are able to respond to and engage with clients in a respectful, empathetic and non-judgemental manner.

In addition, you will assist the conference members who provide the ER service with a variety of tasks. These may include but are not limited to:

• Welcoming clients and making each person feel safe and comfortable, • Developing and maintaining the volunteer roster each month, • Checking appointment details on our database and preparing appointment lists, • Engaging with walk-in clients and checking details on our database, • Taking new client details, • Data entry, • Maintaining databases and other records, • Assisting with document and resource preparation.

Desired Skills, Experience and Attributes:

• Ability to work with a diverse range of people • Experience with database and records management • Detail orientated, with a drive for accuracy • Highly organised • Experience in an office setting • Professional demeanour • Good communication skills.
