HVTC is a well-established not-for-profit organisation delivering employment and skills training opportunities to over 25,000 people over the past 40 years.

HVTC operates a Group Training (apprentice employment) business with over 700 apprentices and trainees in employment across NSW. In 2018 HVTC amalgamated with the Central Coast Community College (the College) which operates as the Groups Registered Training Organisation (RTO). The RTO operates over three campuses including at its flagship $6M state of the art Skill Centre based in the Hunter Valley.

HVTC operates across NSW with 10 regional based offices and its Corporate Office located in the Hunter Valley. With a turnover of over $37M the organisation has strong governance, risk management and operational processes to ensure compliance with its national registrations.

As part of its succession planning, the HVTC Board of Directors are seeking expressions of interest from both experienced Directors and candidates seeking their first Board appointment. We are seeking strategic thinkers, with an understanding of corporate governance who can share our passion for connecting young people to the opportunity of skills training and employment.

Directors of the HVTC Board act in a voluntary capacity but the rewards of contributing to the skilling of Australia’s future workforce are priceless.

Directors are members of the Board and its Board Subcommittees (Work Health and Safety, Audit and Risk, Governance) and are committed to developing and promoting the vision and strategic direction of the organisation.
