FOXG1 Foundation Australia is a charity dedicated to raising awareness of FOXG1 syndrome and genetic diseases alike. By engaging in the education and research of FOXG1, we can better understand and essentially find treatments and preventative methods for diseases like autism, Alzheimer’s, epilepsy, and Schizophrenia. About the role

The Digital Communications Manager is responsible for the delivery of engaging and relevant written content for FOXG1’s website and social media. This will entail writing topics within the space of health specifically regarding FOXG1 syndrome, mental health, community awareness, and any other content as required. You will see yourself working with a dedicated marketing team, and your contribution will make a difference. Together we will find a cure!

Job Description

• Manage and deliver engaging and informative content within the space of health specifically regarding FOXG1 syndrome, mental health, and community awareness.
• Collaborate with other departments to generate content ideas relating to health and FOXG1.
• Research on health-related topics to find unique insights that can be deemed useful to FOXG1 audiences.
• Manage posts on social media and the website.
• Proofread and edit articles before publication.
• Perform any other content writing as required.

Role specification

• Previous experience and/or degree in Professional Writing, Journalism, or similar (desirable).
• Excellent written communication skills, including proofreading and editing abilities.
• Proven ability to research related health topics, interpret data and source the right materials.
• Have an eye for detail, and adaptability to cater writing style to the specific audience.
• Enthusiastic and driven to make a difference!
